Free-Wifi Places Spotlight: April Edition 1/2

This week, delve into the stunning, open-concept spectacle of The Visual Arts Centre Singapore.

The Visual Arts Centre is a 5500 square feet glass-house exhibition gallery and studio housed in the beautiful, lush green habitat of the Dhoby Ghaut Green. In the midst of a bustling city, Visual Arts Centre within the Dhoby Ghaut Green is a peaceful oasis – bringing one a unique experience of visual art in a tranquil environment.

Built by the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Singapore, Visual Arts Centre is located in the heart of the Dhoby Ghaut Arts & Heritage precinct, a main tourist destination for experiencing the arts and cultural atmosphere of Singapore. Minutes away from several major Singaporean art institutions, museums and schools (School Of The Arts, LASALLE College Of The Arts & Nanyang Academy Of Fine Arts), the Visual Arts Centre occupies a strategic location in a highly porous glass-house building situated along a main road leading to the Somerset/Orchard shopping districts, where the retail and cultural life of Singapore converges.

This month, from April 8 to 16, The French fashion powerhouse COCO CHANEL will be bringing their long anticipated pop-up cafe to the Visual Arts Centre. One can experience being both classy and fabulous as the new Coco Cafe serves up a one-of-a-kind beauty experience that satisfies the beauty queen in you, as well as your taste buds.

Dressed in its five signature colors, which are black, white, beige, gold, and red, the Coco Cafe will be brewing up your daily dose of caffeine – yes it is a fully functional cafe. It will also be serving up 27 shades of the brand’s Rouge Coco Gloss collection. And for those who just can’t wait to discover the new Chanel Cruise Makeup Collection – Les Indispensables de L’ete – before the collection hits the stores, head down to the cafe to have the first glimpse of the new upcoming collection.

The Coco Cafe will be at Visual Arts Centre, 10 Penang Road #01-02 Dhoby Ghaut Green, Singapore 238469 from April 8 to April 16, 11am to 8pm daily.
